Something everybody needs to do at least once in their lives: See the world at night from a plane. Especially over a complex as vast as Houston. I’ve already beat myself to the punch in my tumblr post about vacations so I’ll just quote myself.
“…watching the people, the businesses, the cars and all the rest of our lives become less than a dot on the face of the earth, only a part of the collective mass of “human”. All the drama, the problems, the life-changing events melting into insignificance in the “big picture”.”
This is how I Carpe Noctem apparently. Imagine the power that plays its hand behind the wonder that is the “big picture”, how does it all get there, what drives the development? Balls of light everywhere, giant domes of light far more often than you would think. We’re not special.
